## Start a new video project

1. Click **Create a video**
2. Choose how you want to start your story:
   * Idea or Prompt
   * Voiceover Script
   * Scene-by-Scene Breakdown
3. (Optional) Click **Examples** to explore ready-made ideas
4. Click **Let’s Go** to continue

### **Using Examples**

The Examples panel helps you start quickly if you’re unsure what to write or want inspiration.

You can:

* Browse curated ideas and prompts
* Use tags (e.g. *Storytelling, Promo, Tutorial*) to filter examples
* Click **Use** to apply an example instantly

When you use an example:

* The idea or prompt field is auto-filled
* The **Continue** button becomes active immediately

Examples are a great way to learn how effective prompts are structured and to speed up your workflow.

## **Create a Video from Idea or Prompt**

### **Step 1: Choose your starting point**

1. From the Home Screen, click **Create a video**
2. Select **Idea or Prompt**
3. (Optional) Click **Examples** to open a curated library of ready-made ideas

4. Edit the text if needed
5. Click **Let’s Go**

### **Step 2: Let’s Create Your Story**

On this page, you’ll define the foundations of your video.

**Required fields**

* **Story name** – Internal name for your project
* **Start with your idea** – Describe your concept or prompt

The Continue button remains inactive until the idea field is filled.

#### **Mandatory settings**

Videfy requires a visual style and video format for every video. These are **automatically set by default**, so you don’t need to take action to continue.

* **Visual style** – A default style is already applied. You can keep it or choose a different style.
* **Video format** – A default aspect ratio and layout are preselected. You can change them if needed.

These settings are always present. You either continue with the defaults or customize them — it’s not possible to proceed without them being set.

**Optional setup**

* **Tone** – Define mood (e.g. cinematic, emotional, playful)
* **Content keywords** – Add context to guide AI prompt generation

### **Step 3: Generate Voiceover Script**

* Click **Continue** to generate a voiceover script
* You can refine or regenerate the voiceover script if needed

### **Step 4: Scene breakdown**

* Videfy automatically breaks the script into scenes
* You may preview the breakdown or click **Skip** while it generates in the background

Choose whether to:

* Create prompts for all scenes
* Create illustrations for all scenes

Click **Let’s Go** to start scene generation.

## What happens after clicking Let’s Go

After you click **Let’s Go**, your project opens in the **Storyboard**.

If you selected **Yes** for **Create Prompts for All Scenes**, Videfy will create prompts for your scenes from the Storyboard.

If you selected **Yes** for **Create Illustrations for All Scenes**, Videfy will create illustrations for your scenes from the Storyboard.

From there, you can review each scene, edit the text, regenerate visuals, or make manual changes before moving forward.

When you’re ready to continue with canvas and timeline editing, click **Go to Videfy Studio**.
