# Find your way around

**Home** is where you begin new work and return to existing projects.

The top navigation opens **Home**, **Gallery**, **Gen AI**, and **My Items**. Your project list appears below the creation options. Use **Search** when the list gets long.

## The three main working areas

<table>
  <colgroup>
    <col width="175" />

    <col width="535" />
  </colgroup>

  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Area</th>
      <th>Use it for</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>

  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td>Storyboard</td>
      <td>Scene order, narration, descriptions, and scene visuals</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>Videfy Studio</td>
      <td>Canvas layout, timeline timing, audio, subtitles, and finishing</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>Gen AI</td>
      <td>Generating individual assets, either on their own or for a scene</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

An asset is a piece of media. A project brings assets together into a video. Generating an image does not, by itself, create a finished video.

## Start from Scratch

Choose **Start from Scratch** when you want to assemble your own material. Give the project a name, then choose **Storyboard** or **Videfy Studio** as your starting point.

Add a scene or place your media on the timeline. If export is unavailable, check that the timeline contains the content you want to render.

## Help and account settings

Open your profile menu to manage **Settings**, view **Shortcuts**, or get support through **Help**.

If you switch between personal and team workspaces, check the name in the header to make sure you’re in the right workspace.
