# Make your audio clear

Open **Audio Studio** from Home for audio work on its own, or open it inside **Videfy Studio** while editing a video.

Inside Studio, select an audio clip on the timeline first. **Basic** and **Tools** act on the selected clip.

Audio Studio asks you to select a clip before editing

## Start with Basic

Adjust the volume so speech is easy to hear. Use fade-in and fade-out where you want audio to enter or leave gradually.

If you use ducking, listen to the transition into and out of speech. Background audio should support the voice without drawing attention to the volume change.

## Use Tools for a specific problem

Tools include options for improving sound, changing timing, and adding effects. Choose the tool that matches the problem: noise, uneven level, long pauses, or another audible issue.

Start with a small adjustment and listen again. Applying more processing does not always improve the result.

When several tools are active, use the expanded view if it helps you work with their settings.

## Add or create audio

Open **Library** for audio assets and uploads. Open **Voiceover** to create speech from a script or work with uploaded audio.

When you select a different clip, check that you are adjusting the intended item. Listen to the voice and background together before finishing.

If the controls are unavailable, return to the timeline and select an audio clip. An image or video selection is not the same as selecting the audio clip you want to edit.
