# Make your first video

Let’s make a short video about a local coffee shop. You can use the script below or replace it with your own.

The goal is a simple finished video: a clear opening, a few scenes, readable subtitles, and an ending that tells viewers what to do next.

## 1. Start with a script

From **Home**, choose **Create a Video**. Select **Voiceover Script**, then **Let’s Go**.

![Create Video](https://mintcdn.com/videfyai/f43ZcZpQvqfDOb4W/images/CreateVideo.jpeg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=f43ZcZpQvqfDOb4W\&q=85\&s=c602b4f285c035b3c0f9c01bc36f6afb)

Choose Voiceover Script as your starting point

Give the story a name, such as **Morning at the coffee shop**, and paste this script:

> Your morning deserves a good cup of coffee.\
> We grind every order fresh and make it the way you like it.\
> Drop in on your way to work. We’ll have the coffee ready.

Where to name your story and enter the script

Choose **Continue**. Review the tone and context when prompted, then review the scene flow. Keep the wording short enough to say comfortably.

## 2. Check the scenes before creating the visuals

A useful scene plan for this example is:

<table>
  <colgroup>
    <col width="109" />

    <col width="325" />

    <col width="334" />
  </colgroup>

  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Scene</th>
      <th>What the viewer sees</th>
      <th>What they hear</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>

  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td>Opening</td>
      <td>A fresh cup on the counter</td>
      <td>Your morning deserves a good cup of coffee.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>The detail</td>
      <td>Beans being ground and coffee being prepared</td>
      <td>We grind every order fresh and make it the way you like it.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>Invitation</td>
      <td>The shop entrance or a welcoming counter</td>
      <td>Drop in on your way to work. We’ll have the coffee ready.</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

Keep narration and visual descriptions separate. Narration is spoken; the description tells Videfy what the scene should show.

Review the scene order and approve the scene flow when you’re happy with it.

## 3. Choose the format and visual direction

For this walkthrough, choose **9:16** for a vertical video. Use **16:9** for a wide frame or **1:1** for a square, and additional aspect ratios to suit where you plan to share your video.

Choose a visual style that suits the story. **None** keeps additional style instructions out of the generation prompt. For the coffee-shop example, a realistic look is a useful starting point.

If you’re using your own photos, keep the people, products, and setting consistent across scenes.

## 4. Add the voice and visuals

You can create a voiceover or use audio you already have. For this script, one narrator is enough. Listen to the voice sample, check the language, and review the displayed credit cost before generating.

For the visuals, use **Gen AI**, **Gallery**, or **My Items**. Review one generated scene before generating the rest. Check the subject, framing, and any details that need to stay consistent.

If you use **"Create Prompts for All Scenes"** or **"Create Illustrations for All Scenes"**, review those choices before continuing. Generating a batch can use more credits than generating one item.

Continue into the Storyboard when the setup is ready.

## 5. Finish in Videfy Studio

Open Videfy **Studio** by clicking **Go to Videfy Studio** in the Storyboard.

Play the video from the beginning. Adjust the length of any scene that feels rushed or slow. Make sure the voice is clear and background audio does not compete with it.

Open **Subtitles** to add your spoken words as text. Review the wording and timing, then check that the subtitles are easy to read on a phone screen.

## 6. Export and check the file

Choose **Export → Render**. Select **Local Render** or **Cloud Render**, review the available quality and any displayed cost, then choose **Run**.

Keep the tab open during local rendering. Cloud rendering is designed to let you continue using Videfy while the job runs.

Open the finished file and watch it once before sharing. Check the beginning, the final frame, audio, and subtitles.
