# Upload and reuse your media

Upload images, videos, and audio to **My Items** for reuse across projects, or add them directly where you’re working.

## Upload a file

1. Open **My Items**.
2. Click **Upload**.
3. Choose a supported file from your device.
4. Wait for uploading and processing to finish.
5. Preview the file before using it in your project.

Use clear filenames so your assets are easy to find later.

## Choose where to use it

<table>
  <colgroup>
    <col width="189" />

    <col width="498" />
  </colgroup>

  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Location</th>
      <th>Use it to</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>

  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td>**My Items**</td>
      <td>Store and find assets for reuse across projects.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>**Scene**</td>
      <td>Assign an image or video to a specific scene.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>**Storyboard timeline**</td>
      <td>Place media and adjust its timing while working on your scenes.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>**Videfy Studio canvas**</td>
      <td>Position visual elements within the frame.</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>**Videfy Studio timeline**</td>
      <td>Add and arrange video, audio, and other timed layers.</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

Audio belongs in an audio workflow or on the timeline. It cannot be used as a scene’s visual.

When a generation tool needs a reference, add or select the file in that tool’s input area. Uploading a file to **My Items** does not automatically attach it to a generation.

## Supported file types

Some formats can be used directly. Others are converted into a compatible format during upload and may take longer to process.

## Upload limits

<table>
  <colgroup>
    <col width="108" />

    <col width="559" />
  </colgroup>

  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Media type</th>
      <th>Maximum file size</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>

  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td>Image</td>
      <td>25 MB</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>Video</td>
      <td>1024 MB</td>
    </tr>

    <tr>
      <td>Audio</td>
      <td>100 MB</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>

These are general media upload limits. Individual generation models may have additional requirements for file type, size, dimensions, or duration. A file accepted by **My Items** may still be unsuitable for a particular model.

## If an upload fails

* **Check the format and size.** Compare your file with the supported formats and limits above, and any requirements shown in the upload control.
* **Check the file itself.** Open it on your device to confirm it is readable.
* **Allow processing to finish.** Large files and files requiring conversion may take longer.
* **Check the model’s requirements.** If uploading works but generation rejects the file, review the selected model’s input requirements.

If the same file keeps failing, contact support with its format, size, where you tried to upload it, and the error shown. Include a screenshot if possible.
