Upload and reuse media in Videfy
Upload your own media to use across projects, scenes, timelines, and edits. You can upload files to My Items for reuse later, or add media directly to a scene, the Storyboard timeline, the Videfy Studio canvas, or the Videfy Studio timeline depending on where you are working.Where you can upload files
You can upload media from different parts of Videfy depending on how you want to use the asset.My Items
Use My Items when you want to upload and store assets for reuse later. Files uploaded to My Items can be reused across supported project areas, including scenes, timelines, and visual editing workflows.Scene
Upload directly to a scene when you want the file to become part of that specific scene. This is useful when you already know where the asset belongs in your video. <Info> Audio files are not added directly to scenes as scene visuals. Use audio files in audio-based workflows or on the timeline. </Info>Storyboard timeline
Upload to the Storyboard timeline when you want to place media while reviewing or adjusting your video at the scene stage. This is useful for adding clips or assets before moving into Videfy Studio.Videfy Studio canvas
Upload to the canvas in Videfy Studio when you want to place media visually inside the frame. This is useful for images, overlays, stickers, logos, or other visual elements that need positioning.Videfy Studio timeline
Upload to the timeline in Videfy Studio when you want to add media as a timed layer or clip. This is useful for videos, audio, overlays, and other assets that need timeline control.Upload a file to My Items
To upload a file to My Items:- Open My Items.
- Click Upload.
- Choose a supported file from your device.
- Wait for the upload to finish.
Supported file types
Videfy supports common image, video, and audio formats. Some formats work directly, while others are converted after upload so they can be used inside Videfy.Image files

Converted files
Some file types need to be converted before Videfy can use them in a project. When you upload a file marked as Converted on upload, Videfy converts it into a compatible format during processing. After conversion, the file can be used like other supported media. <Info> Converted files may take longer to process than files that already use a supported format. </Info>Upload limits
Files must stay within Videfy’s upload limits.
<Info> Make sure your files are not corrupted before uploading. Damaged files may fail to upload or process correctly. </Info>
Use uploaded assets in a project
After uploading media, you can use it across your project depending on where you add it. You can:- Add an uploaded image or video to a scene
- Place media on the Storyboard timeline
- Position visual assets on the Videfy Studio canvas
- Add clips, audio, or overlays to the Videfy Studio timeline
- Reuse files from My Items in future projects
