Use ChatGPT to create and edit videos in Videfy, add voiceovers and subtitles, and make versions for different languages and platforms.

1. Turn on Developer mode

Open Security settings ↗, then turn on Developer mode.

2. Add Videfy.ai

Open Plugins ↗ and click +. Open “Create custom MCP server” → “Create MCP App”. Enter these details:
  • Name: Videfy.ai
  • Description: Create and edit videos, add voiceovers and subtitles, and make versions for different languages and platforms.
  • Connection URL: https://app.videfy.ai/mcp
If ChatGPT says Videfy.ai already exists, use Videfy as the name instead. Create the connection. Follow the prompts to sign in and approve access.

3. Set permissions

In the plugin’s details, open Permissions and select Allow all actions. This lets ChatGPT read and make changes in Videfy without asking for approval each time. Closed the window? Open Plugins ↗, click Manage, and select Videfy.ai (or Videfy, depending on the name you used).

4. Refresh Videfy

Click Back to return to the plugin’s details. Under Information, click Refresh to load the latest available actions. We recommend refreshing after connecting and whenever new Videfy features become available.

5. Start creating

Open ChatGPT ↗ Start a new chat, then click + → Developer mode and select Videfy.ai or Videfy, depending on the name you used. Try this: “Create a 5-scene storyboard in Videfy about a time traveler.” Developer mode unavailable? Availability depends on your account and workspace settings. For a managed workspace, contact your administrator.
